Update on Week 20 and 21

Hello All,

  It has been a hectic weekend. I thought I had posted week 20 for you and turns out I did not. For this, I apologize. For this coming Friday I will be posting Week 20,21,and 22.

  Here's a little insight on my life at this moment. Last week I put in an application for a house so that I could rent it. I'm hoping that the previous place I lived at will send in my history soon so that I can move in on the 9th. It's not 100% official yet but I may have my own place! Yay, adulting!

  Outside of that. Graduation was this weekend for 2 nieces and a nephew of mine. It caused more stress than I thought and I broke down at work because of it. It made me realize how much I don't connect with my family.

  Yesterday was a good day. I spent it with my girlfriend in Austin, Texas. I had a doctors appointment there and will be transferring to a doctor in my hometown now that I am no longer a child. I was going to a specialist in a bigger city since my eyes were very bad. I don't think my eyes got any worse or any better honestly. She didn't say anything to me except give me my file.

  Writing has always been a safe haven for me and now that I write this to you I realize how much I've abused this time for myself. I want you all to know that I wish you all luck in whatever battles life brings you because even if it seems like you can't pull through you will.

  If any of you ever need someone to talk I'll post my contact information below. I want you all to know that you all (even if we don't speak) are precious to me and this is the least I can do to show my appreciation. So if you need someone to talk to or need someone to try and help you figure out what exactly is wrong and how to tackle it. I'm here.

  Hello everyone!

  Luckily, for all of you I have written all the chapters up to April. Since this story format makes me think of my past story that I managed to complete but not publish I have faith that these chapters will come together easily. Overall, this story is meant to move in a general direction and even though I am not 100% on where that is, I hope to find is somewhere in the next quarter.

  I know that you all want me to bring back some old characters and eventually I will. I will also be filling in more terms as I go along in Dax's story line. For now you'll see me write human/animal or speak about ones that I already know about. (Pheonix, Dragon, Goblin, ect). I want to continued enlightening you all with different typed f mythology but for story sake that will have to wait.

  There is a possible chance that I will be leaving the country later in the year or in the next. I hope that this does not interfere with how I can write to you all for I enjoy writing stories. Although I do ask this, now that I see more a constant amount of you... First, thank you or the +1's and the views. Second, please tell me what you think about these chapters.

  Tell me what grabs your attention, if anything please tell me what you would like to see again in other stories. As you all figured I have put down Revelations of Dragons and the Descendant. But if those are the stories that caught you eyes first please tell me why! I do know that when I went back and read Revelations of Dragons at the beginning I started in 1st person then switch to 3rd so hopefully I can fix that in time.

  Eventually, I would like to record myself reading each of the weekly chapters to help me edit through and bring out the stories to more people. Announcement: Hiatus

I will be in the philippines until July and will have a hiatus for Revelation of Dragons '15. The same goes for the editing. However, I am amazing and still have The Descendant written up and scheduled. I am sorry but Revelation of Dragons will begin posting again in August. Organizing and Personal thoughts.

  There is too much that goes through my mind that won’t allow me to broaden my horizon on these myths. Sitting with me is a book about Angels a book about Atlantis and a documentary about witches and their myths. So in order to lower a couple of subjects down I think I’ll do a ‘Supernatural’ approach to this and do ‘one monster a week’ except in this case it’ll be a myth or mythical creature of some kind. January was a figure out what to do month and now It’s settled. I’ll add it into February’s schedule. I would still like to hear your opinions and thoughts. I’m thinking I might even connect this more to the Newsfeed. Here’s the deal, I have such a wide spread of subject and I want to attack them all and knowing myself I will do that. But I can’t, I need to slow down even though that’s not what I want to do. So here’s how I’ll do it.

  Starting February (well, technically the week before) I’ll focus on one subject. Instead of picking something up and telling you guys about it. I’ll do a youtube search, google, bing, and any books I can get a hold of at the time about the subject. Then I’ll write it in a text document sourcing everything that I used and found giving the reviews.

  What I remember from last year is that I wrote about the sphinx and Atlantis but I’ll have to go back and check what exactly I did. I might even open another blog in order to separate the ‘final’ drafts from these notes here that you all will be seeing that way you guys can look up everything in one post rather than in sections. I’ll minimize that I write two thousand words for each post back maximize it around five thousand.

  If there are a set of links that someone has provided or books that I have in a stack that I’m going to go over I’ll call it a miscellaneous post and go over everything provided. I have access to our local libraries, the book stores, and the internet so I should be set on my sources. But since I am exposing this to all of you I want to hear what you’ve collected and what you believe. It’s always great to hear another voice.

  On that note… I might actually allow the people at home to read this blog. I gave it to a friend already and this is in need of opinions. After writing as much as I have you’d think I’d be well versed in giving out my work to friends or even family but those that I speak to physically or see on a daily basest are not, in fact, in the loop.

  The closest would be my tumblr. But even then I don’t really expose myself to friends at home. There’s a few people but only a few. I’m not afraid to show my true colors. The only problem I have is that in front of thousands of strangers? I can make a fool of myself and not care. If front of friends? I start to shake and get nervous. Even though those are the people who don’t mind me feeling that way.

  On the twelve I listed mythic creatures that were in this drawing book that I got a hold of. I touch up on those as the time goes by but I’m thinking Atlantis is a subject that I’m looking into the most. Since I have a book about it, a post, and a couple of set thoughts that may be my first assign myth for February. The reason why I wrote about the sphinx is because Atlantis and the Sphinx are supposedly connected. Along with those two myths the thought extraterrestrial beings is also connected to the sphinx along the side of pyramids.

  If there’s anything I’ve learned from creating this blog it’s that one subject isn’t enough. You either believe it all or believe it none and whether it be Loch Ness, dragons, or unicorns. One has to open their eyes up to everything. Last time I believed I mentioned me reading the bible. Well, I haven’t gotten a book yet even though my family has theirs.

  Arch Angels catch my interest especially the one called Samael. He’s considered a demon in some cultures and an angel in others but most importantly he’s considered both in some as well. So I don’t know what to believe. He’s considered an Arch Angel. If anything he’s a powerful one. I may have to separate the religious journey from the mythic one even though they run hand and hand. See, I have people I can talk to about these subjects. All I have to do is go to them.

  With that being said, there’s the New King’s James version of the bible but I’ve seen a Pentecostal version of the bible? I’m going to have to talk to my sources about that. I grew up with the New King’s James version but now that the thought crosses me I might have actually read the Old version. If there’s anything I know from church it’s the hymnals.

  Honestly though, I don’t know where to start with the religion part of it. Buddhism is pretty clear but the only book I’ve read of Buddhism made me laugh and then I showed it to someone who had more knowledge over the subject and he said to throw the book in the fire. So, sadly I haven’t found a good source. You can’t believe everything you read right?

  This is what makes this blog a challenge, finding what’s believable and unbelievable about speculations and hard facts. Although, who can say that we know is exactly true? That is why I present everything I come across. If I don’t believe it, I won’t but I won’t stop you all from being exposed and figuring out what you believe.

  Since I paused to watch the witchcraft documentary I’ll go ahead and place it here. I’m planning on read over witchcraft later on down the road but I have to say. I forget that Mexico has its culture too. I’m right next to the Mexican border and this is closest I have to a culture over all this mythology. Honestly, watching that documentary didn’t make me feel great. As I told my friend I’ll blame it on the coffee but to sooth my nerves I’ll meditate the feeling off.

  So after watching that I’ll say I like sticking to the creatures and finding out more about them. I’ll have to go back into this sometime but you guess will probably see me ease into reading about witchcraft in time.

Loch Ness, and Story thoughts

  For those of you who are reading from England I’d like to know your thoughts of the Loch Ness monster. It has always caught my interest and what bothers me about most of the websites I’m reading from is that they talk like Americans and if there’s one way to put up a red flag about a local legend it’s when they use the wrong measuring system.

  Some of the websites I’ve found out there make me laugh. So, I want to hear from all of you what you think. It’s okay to answer this question if you’re not from the U.K to answer this questions, send me links and whatever you know about ‘Nessie’. Speculation is fine, although I want you o mention it for me when you speak under those terms.

  I’d like to hear about any creature that you know of in mythology. If you don’t know which mythology it’s from that’s fine. It’ll give me something to look up as I’m search for more information. Back to what I was saying about religion and Mythology though. It occurred to me that the bible has both Western and Eastern dragons. Maybe. Joseph said that he read about them in the book of Job which is old testament and I know them from Revelations which is the new testament. I can’t believe I’m actually considering to read the Bible after all the years but you can’t go wrong with knowledge.

  Here’s a fun fact. Not that it has to do with Mythology. Recently, I’ve become friends with a Canadian on Kik. He like the same fandoms I do and has watch a lot of shows that I have too. It occurred to me that the Providences in Canada might have flags. So I asked him and he said he couldn’t remember. I looked it up and bam, there they were. We exchanged jokes about them and then when I described the Texas flag to him he laughed because he thought we had multiple wars between the states.

  It never occurred to me that anyone would think that but for those of you who don’t know, no we only have one and it was bad. The Civil War is the only war we’ve had between states. Everything else you hear is political and no I will not talk to you about politics. ^^ I probably should learn more about our Democrat-republic but I rather sit here reading and writing to the world.

  I know that sounds ignorant but politics make my head spin. Even though our country says we’re one way we’re not and I’m sure anyone outside and inside of the States can get the picture so if you want to talk to me, politics aren’t the answer.

  For the most part I can talk about anything. But my main focus with having conversation is learning about eh different legends. So if you have anything on Nessie send it to me! I’m getting a list of mythical creatures that I’m going to look into. There’s a section in our local book store about ‘New Age’ and I wasn’t sure what that meant so if any of you can clear that up for me please do.

  I found books about metaphysics, culture, different religions, and all sorts of random subjects like numerology. So I’m guessing New Age is like the book store’s way to say miscellaneous. There’s another book store down town. I should probably hit that place too. Now that I think about it I’ll probably find a New King James version of the bible there too. I guess I know where I’m going on Tuesday.

  Can you imagine buying books for five cents? Only five. On Tuesdays at our Christian’s In Action they have books for five cents. Normally they’re twenty five for paper back and fifty for hard back. I think. Something like that but I went on that day to get a letterman for my new college. I didn’t want to wear my high school one but I still wanted one so I was planning on searching for a red letterman but I found the book section instead (who would’ve guessed) and then found out that all the books were for twenty five cents but then I found out what day it was so they were for five cents. I got a box full of books for eight cents including tax. I let them have the rest because coins are coins. Why not?

  I’m thinking of making the next project I put on here five thousand words per week. I proved that I can write one thousand in a breeze and two thousand isn’t much trouble either so I’m thinking of changing that but if I wait for a next project that would be next year until I post it up so maybe I’ll do one for six months, being twenty six weeks, instead of a normal fifty two. Since I’m not finished with Revelation of Dragons or The Descendant I can’t barge into a new project yet. I asked my friend for advice but he wasn’t much help because even with his random choice of a number I was torn between the two ideas.

  So I’ll go with what he ‘chose’ which was to finish this year’s Revelation of Dragons set and finish of The Descendant. I forgot about Prometheus’s involvement in the other books so I had to add that information in smoothly. Now I want to write about Prometheus without the whole Rick Riordan version and to make my own. Not that he’ll mind. I’m sure he supports me writing my thoughts out.

  Overall, the whole purpose of these personal notes it to try and get you guys to talk to me. ^^ It’ll help my inspiration and get me going on different paths. I have enough leads on my own but if you guys open up to me and tell me what you know these stories can go in different directions and I can cover more ground on Mythology and Myths than I can on my own. About The Story and Ideas

  I don’t know how often I’ll do these personal updates but this is my time to talk with all of you. I enjoy writing about Norwegian Mythology and Chinese mythology. Since this is a story about learning and not for the sheer fun of storytelling I want to know where you guys want me to go. Most of you are silent and that’s fine with me but I would also like some feedback. There are some chapters I don’t like at the beginning. I’m contemplating whether I should write a more story version of this on Wattpad, where I usually write poetry. There are hardly any stories on there.

  What I’m curious is about the information. I recently bought a couple of books. Two are about dragons, one is a story and the other is about drawings and paints. The other is about Angels and lastly, about ‘lost symbols’ it looked interesting but I’m not sure where I’ll go with it.

  As you guys know this blog isn’t only about dragons. It’s about the other mythologies as well. As much fun as I have writing the Percy Jackson Fanfiction I know it’s not as nearly as popular as Revelation of Dragons. I want to know your thoughts and any suggestions that you might want to add to the blog! For those of you who may or may not know this blog was brought to action by Dragon Dungeon on tumblr.

  My quest is to teach people about dragons and mythology, how all around the world they have their similarities. This journey has also lead me to a path that I turn away from more often than not. To read the Bible. The only real chapter I read in the bible was Proverbs and that was because my Sunday school teacher showed me how it helped her but it didn’t reach out to me the same. Today, I ran into a guy named Joseph Houston. I may or may not ever meet this man again but I will say I’m glad that I met him.

  He spoke to be about the book of Job and how he was only his own personal journey figuring out what was true and what was not. It amazed him that he found the zodiac, celtic mythology, the bible, and much more mentioning similar aspects and ideas. I told them that they all connect. Somewhere, whether it be on the surface or deep within, mythology and religion will run on parallel paths at one point and that made him happy.

  I know that most of the plot line with Mikey (the Wyvern) is about the different creations in Nose mythology but that’s because I’m basing his story line off a stack of books I received from a friend that I wish I could speak to again but I have an inner fear that doesn’t allow me to. There is another book that mentions a Celtic tail and I’m planning on writing that in as well.

  Jack’s Shadow is still unclear to me. I don’t know how to describe this dream like encounter. I don’t know who spoke to me about it and I might be able to find out. There is one person who crosses my mind now. But in order to catch him I’ll have to go to Hastings early on a Tuesday I believe.

  Xeq’s plotline is more along the lines of the Chinese Culture although his appearance is based more off of Blues White Dragon off of yu gi oh. There’s an Egyptian stand point in that show but I’ll have to look deeper than playing with cards and remember the show content.

  Gwyne is a mystery to me. At first I wanted to mention her as a person of the Zodiac but now I’m wondering if if she should truly be human and not some sort of mythic legend. I don’t want her to be a Goddess. But I do want to do something with her. She’s already a brink in Flint and Vile’ relationship. I won’t mention everything about Flint because that contains spoilers for those of you who haven’t read the second section of Revelation of Dragons. Overall, my thought was for Gywne to get interested in mythology. Maybe she’ll get suspicious or see Vile turn into a dragon again. Maybe that encounter at the beginning made her second guess that she knew everything about Vile or Flint. Like I said, I’m not entirely sure where I’m going with her but she needs to make a good appearance because having here there solely to tear apart those two characters makes her boring in my opinion.

  Luis and Flint will interact though. That’s one event that will come to terms in the story. I’m thinking that Flint, Luis, and Vile will go at it at one point. But I know where I’m going with Flint and Luis. At last, for now.

  Luckily, having Zamer as a Phoenix worked out real well for speculation. All I wanted to do was get Xeq to have a girlfriend but making her a phoenix or in this case, the phoenix of the world at this time has proven its advantages. I’ve always like the phoenix it’s more of a favorite for a cousin of mine rather than my own but it worked out well so I’m happy.

  One pair of characters I’m wondering about is Xeq and Vile’s parents. You all know of Vile’s true past now and if you haven’t read that far it’s alright for me to mention it since it’s not too much detail. But Xeq’s real parents. I’ve only mentioned them here and there. I need them now. I believe they’d make a good story element and one that could help me with Luis and Flint maybe even Gywne.

  There’s a time where I mention where Vile first looses himself, at his ex-girlfriend’s house when she’s cheating. I’m wondering if I should add in another scene where they meet up again but I’m not sure. All I want to do really is talk about dragons to someone or even mythic creatures in general. I’d be okay with mythology in general.

  Are the gods more interesting? Or do you guys want to hear more about other mythical creatures? I hope you guys do realize this means I have to mention unicorns, fairies, trolls, orcs, leprechauns, angels, demons, and even the chupacabra. I’m planning on covering everything and if I don’t? That’ll be fine. I didn’t plan on making this a book because it uses the sources around the internet and even though they’re my interpretation it’s technically plagiarism so I’d have to source each website and even though I show you guys the links of what I read and what I don’t it’s still a hassle.

  Please everyone, shoot me an email of a documentary, a website, a video, or a name of a book that you believe would be useful in this research. Even if it’s one it’ll help. I have a friend who has made me appreciate werewolves. After Twilight came out I sort of stepped away from Vampires and werewolves but they are popular so I’ll put them in somewhere. Supernatural has given me more appreciation for Angels especially Arch Angels.

  Demons are demons. They’ll always be a story element but I’d like to venture out. I’m one guy and even though there are many novels that I have been exposed to since asking my fans to help me collect those I am stick on the lack of resources for mythology in general. So for those of you who have either read a novel that’s about dragons, or know of a website that may help please tell me. I’d like to interact with you all. Even though I don’t like writing for the sake of other people to like the story but for myself to enjoy writing I still need to know what else I can do to improve what I can.

  I’ve watched to add in a Chimera as well. In a story there must be conflict and the main conflict that brought this story together was the lack of knowledge but now I’m making it more than about that. Oh! I also bought a book about Atlantis so I may or may not write something about it again. You see, I want to write about the Burmuda Triangle—legends! I don’t want to only writing about mythology but about myths as well like, well, Big Foot. I’m not too keen on him but he’s still a myth so it’d be nice to bring him into the mix.

  Cerberus (Hell hounds) are a factor I want to bring in as well. I’m written half of the Percy Jackson Fan fiction and I’m hoping that I can finish it within 52 weeks if not, I’ll split it into two parts. The way I’m writing Revelations of Dragons has gotten to me. I realized that the first 26 weeks I wrote were all based off of who I wanted to write about when I wanted to write about them but for 2015 I’ve come to more a reasonable way to write.

  It works within time. At the moment I’m on week fourteen. I know you all want to read it as I update but I work better on certain days at certain times writing a bulk of ‘weeks’/chapters at a time. Besides, school is about to start and I’m hoping it won’t slow me down but to no avail it most likely will.

  At the moment I have the option of writing about Mikey and another day as another adventure. His plotline works by the day so 365 adventures of some kind is the way his plot lint works. As of right now, Xeq is in China and he’s learning about the culture. There’s only two days for him so I can switch between the two, get Xeq to meet back up with Mikey, review somewhat, and then it’s back to Vile, Flint, and Gywne. Then. I won’t tell you all the plan but then Zamer will return and so will Luis.

  I had a couple of one shots on here as well. There’s one based off a drawing a friend drew. It was about the tower in the center of the drawing honestly. Nothing more. But it’s called the tower of Babel and I’m wondering if I should bring in the bible to any of this.

  Religion and mythology inner twine. You have Buddhism in China, India, and a few more places but they escape my mind. I have a book about the Pentecostal but even then I know two different types of Pentecostal so there’s the confusion in that. This is more about mythology but I can’t break away from that. As I said to Joseph, Mythology and Religion go hand and hand so I can’t simply shove it off as if it’s a nuisance.  

  Here’s a few more facts about me. I grew up in a Christian home but with a Filipino culture that clashed with my American culture. I appreciate my family for what they taught me. Not to follow in their footsteps. But in the Philippines going to multiple churches wasn’t uncommon in my family. Here in America it can really mess up your view. Which is okay. I want all of you to know I’m not here to speak against religion. Practice what you believe but don’t shove it down anyone else’s throats. Teach do not force.

  No one will learn if they’re not interested. In order for something to be grasped there must be an interest. There must. Otherwise it’ll go in one ear and out the other. I’m here to teach all of you about what I learn and share it. All I hope is that at least one of you learns something from me before I pass. (Not that I’m going to any time soon because I’m eighteen) but that as long as one of you learns from me only one. Then I’ve done my part in this world. I’m planning on keeping this around two thousand words that way I’m not writing you guys another story. ^^ Good bye for now and as I said please contact me, I’d love to talk to you about ideas, religion, or mythology. Personal Update

  I was surprised to see who continues to check back with me even after all ths time. Every monday, there are a range of views but all of them notify me that all you are still waiting for chapter eighteen. I will say this, look forward to next monday. I'll make sure to write the next chapter.

  However, this is what has been going on in my life. I think I'm going to take down all the fancy post each day text because it sucks the life out of me. I'll post monday and thursday. Monday will have th new chapter and thursday will have any updates. 

  My first semester is ending for me and I'm ever so greatful. Thank you guys for sticking around and havin faith that I'll come back eventually. I'm sorry that it is november but I shall do my best. You guys have no idea how much effort it takes to actually write this story and I'll have to refresh my brain. 

  I still do not know where I got the idae of :Jack's Shadow". I do know that it is important for Vile's plot line so I will continue on with or something or another. I guess I'll have to go back to the drawing board since I only have three mythical plot lines here so far. Xeq gets to visit China but he doesn't actually have a mytholy explination. He's more of my version of Yu gi oh's blue eyes white dragon.

  Vile is based off of Greek mythology, Mikey is Norse, and Mioko is Chinese but I'm still unsure if I should make him a main character instead of one that helps of Xeq. If I've come to any conclusion about this story it's that I'm messing with endless possiblities and no structure. There are many paths I can take but I don't know which I should take.

Update 1

  The more I write the harder it is to NOT mention other mythical creatures or myths which is why I find this mission really fun yet complicated. My purpose was to write about dragons and find out about dragons. I wrote the following weeks chapter. Not this weeks but the week after. I'm liking where the story is going. I forgot that even if writing about dragons is fun it's still a story so I have to concentrate on both the informal part and the story elements. It makes it amusing.

  One of the books I was using tells stories about dragons. I haven't really figured out how to talk about them throughout he story. I'm thinking maybe a character who tells the stories now and then. Make a specific chapter to restate those stories.

  If you didn't know I also play Magic The Gathering. I collect dragon cards. They're really interesting. I can write about the game along with many other games that include dragons. Honestly, when I looked up the difference between drakes and dragons I only saw gaming differences.

  For those of you who have suggestions on what I should look up or specific questions ask them. I can make a chapter about it or a charcter to find the answer for you. I can only think up so much on my own. Come to think of it I haven't even introduced Norse Mythology. I'll be working for the next month. I can ask the people I work around if they know anything about dragons. Is that weird? Eh. I'm a weird person.

  Anyways. Thank you guys for staying with me for a month. I think it has been a month. Something like that. but this is fun and I assure you I will continue on.
